A house with a special history. Not only is it a monumental building, Karthuizerstraat 14 was the beating heart of the Provo movement in 1965. Ideas, actions and the magazine Provo were born in this house. The aim of the Provo movement was to challenge authority and the established order in a playful and provocative way, and thus stimulate social change and awareness. In addition, original master's marks can still be found in the beams on the attic floor. These marks are preserved in monuments as silent witnesses of historical craftsmanship. Finally, the original antique tiles from the basement of the house were used in the bathroom.
