An unobstructed and green view, a large balcony facing west and an enormous bedroom! This spacious 1-bedroom apartment of 47m2 has it all! In 2009 the entire building was renovated but the charm and character from the 1920’s were preserved. In short: the ideal starter apartment in the lively Indian neighborhood in Amsterdam East, with a great view over the green Flevopark.

The apartment is part of “De Batikblokken”, a series of buildings from 1926 in the Amsterdam School Architecture, which were completely renovated in 2009. The communal entrance and stairs lead up to the apartment's private entrance on the second floor. The living room is situated on the front side and has an amazing view over the green Flevopark. The kitchen is situated in the rear and has access to the extended balcony facing west. Here you can enjoy the sun from about 3 o’clock in the afternoon until well in the evening. There even is a lot of privacy as there are no direct neighboring balconies. The spacious bedroom is also situated in the rear with access to the balcony. The bathroom can be reached from the central hallway and has a walk-in shower, sink and toilet.

The apartment is located in the eastern part of the Indische buurt that is part of district Oost. Known for its variety of shops, restaurants and the close by Dapper market. Almost every week a nice new store or restaurant pops up. Around the corner you will find the Javaplein with the beautiful ‘Badhuis’ (one of the last bathhouses in Amsterdam, which closed its doors in 1982, and now features a nice restaurant), famous restaurant Wilde Zwijnen, a modern library and fitness centre. From the apartment you walk straight into the Flevorpark. Last but not least there are plenty public transport facilities, trams, buses and railway station Muiderpoort are around the corner. Via the Zuiderzeeweg there is a good connection to Ring A-10 and there is plenty of parking space.
